Gneng Poster Theme

Gneng is a psychedelic kraut-rock band I enjoyed being involved in greatly. When we decided we were ready to play live we wanted to have a visual identity we could use for posters and other artwork we may have needed later on.

As a graphic designer, I was given the task which I took on with a lot of enthusiasm. I decided first on a strong colour palette with the idea of experimenting with such colours. Once I purchased the paints with the hex codes I had been playing with on Illustrator I proceeded to put a giant tarp in my living-room and quite frankly just experimented with until I found visually stunning methods which I continued to apply.
